The workspace
A dedicated room on the ground floor, insulated and soundproofed, separate from the living areas — not a corner of a café and not a beanbag on a terrace. Fibre broadband, and the house rule that calls are taken on headphones and mornings are quiet.
Morocco runs on UTC+1 all year: the same hour as Paris, Brussels or Berlin in winter, one hour behind in summer. Your 9:30 stand-up stays a 9:30 stand-up. The one subtlety is Ramadan, when the country moves temporarily to GMT — check the dates before you fix meetings that week, because they shift every year.
What is not included — read this part
Breakfast is included; lunch and dinner are not. Ziri Table, the house restaurant, serves both à la carte and you pay as you go — which most long-stay residents prefer to a full-board package they would not use.
The airport transfer is included from 7 days, both ways. On a 3-day stay it is a €30 add-on. Surf lessons and yoga are not in this package either: residents join a class or a session on a drop-in basis when there is space.
Ziri Table, à la carte
The house kitchen cooks from Souss produce — fish landed that morning, vegetables from the Tuesday souk in Aourir, argan oil from the local cooperatives. Breakfast is on the terrace, lunch and dinner are à la carte, and the table is open to people from outside the house as well as residents.
Long stays
The 14- and 28-day rates are where this package makes sense. EU, UK, Swiss and Canadian nationals enter Morocco visa-free for 90 days, which is the natural unit for a season here — and three months is also how long a full surf season lasts.
Frequently asked questions
How fast is the internet?
Fibre broadband in a dedicated, soundproofed ground-floor workspace. The serious remote-work rule still applies: never rely on one connection. A local data SIM (Maroc Telecom has the best coverage in Tamraght, around 20 MAD for the card) turns your phone into a backup hotspot for the calls that matter.
What timezone is Tamraght in?
UTC+1 year-round — the same hour as Paris, Brussels and Berlin in winter, one hour behind in summer. The exception is Ramadan, when Morocco moves temporarily to GMT; the dates change each year.
Are meals included in the Nomad package?
Breakfast only. Lunch and dinner are available à la carte at Ziri Table and you pay as you go, which works out better than full board for anyone staying several weeks.
Can I surf while I'm working here?
Yes, and most residents do — the beach is a ten-minute walk. Surf lessons are not included in this package, but you can book sessions on a drop-in basis or simply go with the surf group.
How long can I stay in Morocco?
EU, UK, Swiss and Canadian nationals enter visa-free for 90 days. Beyond that you need either an extension from the authorities — a heavy process — or an exit and re-entry, which is what most people who stay a full season do.
